The Global Health Initiative (GHI) at Children’s National was formed to address the health needs of children and adolescents in our global community through high quality, collaborative research and mutual education. Many nurses, residents, fellows and faculty members participate in highly accomplished projects throughout the developing world. These projects vary from direct delivery of health care, improving medical education and care delivery to innovative, multidisciplinary research. The initiative will provide infrastructure for staff members who are passionate in the pursuit of pediatric global health excellence, and showcase the on-going work that makes Children’s National a leader both locally and globally.
